Bicyclists Hit By Car Injures Two Thurmont Boys
A 14 year old and his 12 year old brother were knocked from a bicycle on U S 15 near Thurmont this morning. Michael Clarke was admitted in poor condition with possible skull fracture and internal injuries while William Clarke sustained lacerations and abrasions. The car driver James Mercer attempted to avoid the collision but struck the bicycle, throwing the youths onto the roadway. Mercer’s 1963 sedan sustained $100 damage. no charges were filed.
