Menon tied to city contracts probe and ethics breaches
Investigators describe a broad public corruption case involving Joonalom Menon, a former Frederick city official, cited for steering contracts and inflating bids. The probe linked payments totaling hundreds of thousands from contractors including Shook Exca nthalaine Inc and Mosonrs Contractors Inc, with more than a dozen contracts under review. Federal and state agents coordinated the inquiry, leading to Menon’s firing for ethics violations and ongoing court action.
