Freight wreck halts B and O near Lime Kiln
A Tuesday morning freight wreck on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad near Lime Kiln split an east bound train, piling cars and wrecking tracks. Two coal hoppers obstructed the west bound track, tearing up both lines for a short distance. no injuries are listed.

Train delays after near miss at Frederick Station
A passenger train leaving Frederick at 9 30 escaped a wreck thanks to Engineer Parretts quick braking. The stop caused excitement as passengers were moved around the wreck and traffic was tied up in both directions. No injuries reported. Separately a 85 million auditorium is planned for St Louis with a large convention hall and a smaller entertainment hall.
