125 New Employees Placed at Work in Brunswick Yard

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad reports about 125 new employes assigned to the Brunswick west end yards this morning. This marks the first extensive operation in that section since the strike began July 1. Most work has been in the eastern yards where strike breakers were housed. The new contingent will be housed and fed in the western yard, bringing total Brunswick shop crafts to over 500, roughly half the pre strike level. New hires must sign a contract to stay at least 15 days, improving the company’s labor position. The Brunswick scene is described as quiet with good health and no sickness among strikebreakers.
