Soldiers Paid On Return From Camp Edgewood Arsenal
After fifteen days at Edgewood Arsenal the Maryland National Guard units returned home Saturday afternoon arriving about 2:30. About $8,000 in pay was distributed among the soldiers for drills and camp. Company A members received about $60 each for camp attendance and $3.40 for drills for the six months ending June 30. The band members received about $3,501 for camp and drill attendance for the same period. The camp life was enjoyed and morale remained high as officers urged the unit to demonstrate proper commands.
