Stultz Shot In Hip During Fight With Officers
William A. Stultz, a once prominent church worker turned bootlegger, shot and killed Officer John Adams of the city police and wounded Deputy Sheriffs Charles W. Smith and Alien Bartgis. He was wounded when police surrounded his home. Officer Walsh fired from a window and others engaged. Stultz, confrontational and self-willed, had long opposed law enforcement and refused to heed authorities. He was taken to Baltimore for safety, calmly answered questions, and even packed clothing for jail after surrender.

Court recalls grand jury to probe murder

Silk shirts valued around 100 dollars were stolen from a display case outside Doll Brothers dry goods store last night. Entrance gained by prying open a rear door. Fourteen silk shirts and two madras shirts taken. jewelry hosiery and neckties left untouched. Discovery made at 7:30 this morning by Roger A Doll. Robbery occurred between 5 PM yesterday and 7:30 AM today. No clues found by Night Watchman Brutchey.

Assassins Of Field Marshal Wilson Hanged
Joseph O'Sullivan and Reginald Dunn were hanged at Wandsworth prison for the June 22 assassination of Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson.
