Alvey Renn 86 founder of Frederick auto firm dies
Alvey V. Renn, 86, former Frederick automobile dealer and two term member of the Frederick City Board of Aldermen, died suddenly July 30 in Lehigh Acres Florida. He founded Renn Pontiac Co. later Renn-Kirby Pontiac and was active in Lions International, the Frederick Lodge and the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He served on the Boy Scout Council and the Salvation Army Board. He was born October 23, 1903, and is survived by his wife Virginia, a son, two sisters, two brothers, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial services were held August 2 at Faith Lutheran Church with interment in Lehigh Acres. Memorials to Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

More than 100 biomedical vials were found along CountrySide streets after two boys ages 10 and 12 climbed into the Omega Center dumpster at Life Technologies Inc.
