Six additional residents tested positive for tuberculosis at the Frederick County Health Department during a midweek mass screening. Health officials noted no contagious symptoms among the positives, with 57 people returning for results and many positives among recent immigrants.
Frederick County Commissioners on Tuesday night voted unanimously to cancel plans for an asphalt plant in Myersville after a year of contention with residents. The board also approved a zoning text amendment restricting asphalt plant construction, ending the L W Wolfe Enterprises Inc project despite earlier planning commission approval and resident opposition.
A two day Frederick City livability case ended with a $4,400 fine against Duck Hee Ro. The trial before Harford County District Court Judge John Landbeck Jr. centered on 11 cited violations at 111 E Seventh St including eight window violations. Ro’s lawyer alleged racial and sexual bias by officials, while prosecutors argued the case stood on the violations themselves.

William Robert Fagan Sr. remains jailed without bail since his November 1992 arrest for allegedly killing Deborah Patricia Fagan on January 6, 1992, on a dead end road near Kemptown.
