Man Of 82 Celebrates 75 Years In Sunday School
Shartee Henry Coblentz of Middletown turned 82 last Sunday in a quiet family celebration. He has attended Christ Reformed Sunday School regularly for 75 years, survived a barn fire and financial losses, helped build local electric rail service, and served in church roles while living on his 16 acre farm near Middletown. He shared Civil War era recollections and travels with his son Rev. Lloyd Coblentz, remains active on the farm, and notes his eyesight has wavered in recent years.
