Severe thunderstorms Sunday night cooled the warm spell with highs near 85 degrees. forecaster warned of scattered light frost tonight while rains totaling about 0.85 inch at the airport eased mountain fires and soaked ground. the city saw a low of 42 after a 79 degree Sunday.
Wills of Francis Ephraiam Grimes Mrs Effie Hauver Hemp and Georgia Williams probated in Orphans Court. Grimes estate includes sale of two farms within a year, distributions to widow and three sons, and trust provisions. Hemp wills executrices may sell or rent property with one third to daughters and grandchildren, plus shares to three grandchildren. Williams estate leaves homes to daughters Sara Craig and Mary J Prior, another property to Horace Williams, and residue to three children. Sara Craig named executrix. Letters of administration granted for Agnes Lee Little Thurmont estate to Ruth Little and Sarah Virginia Lewis, with Melvin E Messner named administrator. Realty of about 9ab0 reported.
Bishop G Bromley Oxnam announced approval to relocate Westminster Theological Seminary from Western Maryland College to American University. A two million dollar construction plan hinges on foundation funding, with the move aimed at placing religion at the center of the enterprise.
Four Maryland liberal arts colleges formed the Association of Independent Colleges in Maryland Hood College St John s College Washington College and Western Maryland College pledge a united appeal to business leaders for funds and tax law benefits, aiming to boost finances and sustain liberal arts education in the state. The United Nations Command announced it would deliver 491 North Korean sick and wounded prisoners to Panmunjom tomorrow. The group includes 31 litter cases and would raise total returning disabled prisoners to about 4,500. The Communists halted prisoner deliveries Sunday after breaching a total of zero incidents.
Frederick residents farmers orchardists pilots and local officials protest a planned closure of the Frederick weather station costing 6000 annually plus two observers. Rep De Witt S Hyde pledges to seek reversal of the Commerce Department ruling and save the station which aids local agriculture aviation and hourly forecasts. The Weather Bureau argues nearby Washington and Baltimore stations can cover the area but locals insist on prompt reports critical to crops and safety.
Two motor vehicle accidents were aired before Magistrate Wilbur F. Sheffield in Peoples Court. Brown, driver of a truck, was fined 125 and jailed 40 days for failing to stop after an accident and for operating without a license. Shern with a suspended fine for letting an unauthorised person drive was involved as well. Dr. Bourne’s car and Geisbert’s car suffered damage. In a second hearing Rosenberry was fined 25 for speeding and Braithwaite was acquitted of failing to grant right of way.

Ohio sergeant Ned Kelley recalled a wedding band and watch swapped by a North Korean officer, while two Black veterans reported Communist indoctrination. Newsmen gathered tales at Tokyo Army Hospital after the Panmunjom exchange. The first group of Americans is to fly home in days, says a U N spokesman.

Several accidents left three children with minor injuries over the weekend in Frederick. A two year old fell from a car on South Market street after his door opened. a 3 year old on North Bentz street sustained brush burns when struck by a car. a 4 year old on cemetery road near South Market street was treated for minor injuries after colliding with a car. An East Church North Carroll collision caused more damage to two vehicles with no serious injuries. Police charged a driver with passing a stop sign in that incident. Authorities also reported a few traffic and parking charges citywide and noted a grand larceny warrant in a Virginia case.
Washington, Roger M. Kyes, deputy secretary of defense, said the Eisenhower administration will review the munitions picture and weed out high cost arms plants to keep America strong in peace and war.
