Panel Discusses Integration At Local Meeting
A panel at Beth Sholom Synagogue explored racial and housing issues in Frederick County. Dr. John Carnachan cited 9 percent New York children in local schools and praised district integration since 1954. Rev. Grumbine urged open housing, fire codes, and housing improvements, while Ted Tannenbaum stressed inclusive action across classes and races. The discussion, led by Mrs. Milton Gordon, concluded with refreshments for attendees. The cape buffalo note at article end appears unrelated.
