Frederick based 698th General Supply Company of the U S Army Reserve marks its 33rd anniversary formed April 10 1942 and renamed July 9 1952. The warehousing unit trains monthly attends two weeks summer camp and participates in civic projects across Maryland including parks and charity drives.

Middletown Maintains 40 Cent Tax Rate Amid Road and Water Talks
Middletown town commission kept the tax rate at forty cents per hundred. They scheduled further Thursday meetings with the county on Green Street road access to the elementary school. The panel discussed road transfer legality, sewer improvements funded by state and federal bodies, and a 50 foot construction right of way for a new sewer line. Valve Land Investors and Maryland Property Investors offered rights of way for the enlarged treatment plant. Fire company seeks space near the old athletic field. Smoke tests will check water infiltration as a town water study is urged. Civic meeting set for April 17, 1975 at 8 p.m.
