Three Robberies Reported in Frederick Within 12 Hours
Frederick police report three armed robberies within twelve hours. At 10 30 p m Tuesday two black males robbed Sheffield s Liquor at West Fifth and North Market, taking cash after a knife and a .45 handgun were shown. A second break in occurred at Sid s Crown Service Center at West Seventh Street at 3 50 a m with three gunmen demanding money. The third robbery targeted the Frederick City Housing Authority on West Sixth Street before 9 a m, with three men, wearing ski masks and armed with knives and a pistol, taking an undisclosed amount from four workers. No injuries reported and detectives link the two earlier crimes to the housing authority incident.
