Point of Rocks Playwright Aims to Take Lovers and Executioners On Tour
John Strand of Point of Rocks, fresh from Lovers and Executioners at Arena Stage in Washington, hopes to tour the period piece based on a 17th century French incident. He credits strong reviews and audience interest while noting contract negotiations remain. A post-show discussion drew about 300 of 500 attendees. Strand also works on a Vincent van Gogh musical with Eric D. Schaeffer and Michael John LaChiusa, aiming for a 1999 Signature Theater opening.
