Frederick mother charged in child sexual abuse case

Theresa L. Rockinberg, 32, was arrested in Frederick, held on 350000 bail after admitting to performing oral sex on her toddler son. She also implicated her boyfriend Scott E Yingling in oral sex with her 5-year-old daughter. Drowning of 6 year old in swollen Middle Creek

A six year old Ballenger Creek Elementary pupil, Zachery Edward Jett, drowned after jumping into rain swollen Middle Creek near Wolfsville. After a five hour rescue effort involving police, firefighters, divers, and volunteers, he was found and pronounced dead at Hospital in Hagerstown. He had been visiting relatives on Highland School Road.

Woman’s scream foils Frederick carjacking attempt

A 43 year old woman eating lunch at a McDonald’s in Prospect Plaza Shop ping Center screamed during an attempted armed carjacking. The suspect, Anthony William Padinha, 27, of Berkeley Springs West Virginia, fled toward US 15, was found hiding in a yard, admitted involvement, and faces charges including attempted armed carjacking and robbery. He remains jailed in Frederick County on 250000 bail. Police recovered the knife wrapped in his jacket behind the center.
