Frostburg MBA plan stalled by Maryland higher ed panel
The Maryland State Board for Higher Education postponed action on Frostburg State College's bid to rename its Frederick graduate business program to an MBA. Hood College and Mount Saint Mary's opposed the plan, urging a collaborative regional MBA center instead. The staff proposed a joint program with all three institutions and a Frederick education center, while FSC would keep the degree primarily at Frostburg with phased offerings at Hagerstown and Frederick.
