Two plead guilty in theft and abuse cases in Frederick Co

In Frederick County Circuit Court a Myersville area resident admitted sexually abusing his 13 year old step daughter and a Washington man pleaded guilty to conspiring to break into Grove's Television in Walkersville and unauthorized use of a Jenkins Motors car. The Aug 20 1988 thefts were tied to a parking lot arrest near the TV shop with recovered keys. Sentencing for the sexual offenses is deferred pending a psychological evaluation. Nathaniel Harvey 19 faces additional theft charges in Carroll County.

Court dismisses state's assault case against Young Jr.

Allegations of sexual assault were dismissed after the State's key witness declined to appear. Charles Leroy Young Jr., 24, of Biggs Avenue, faced rape and sexual abuse charges stemming from an Aug. 8, 1986 assault on an 18-year-old Frederick woman. A co defendant, Robert Lee Ray, 26, admitted to a third degree sexual offense. Ray received a suspended five-year term and 30 days in jail.

Police seek clues on pickup break-in near Gambrill Park

Maryland State Police seek leads after a pickup truck at a public rest area on U S 40 east of Gambrill Park Road was broken into between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. About 1310 in radio gear was stolen from the Chevrolet C 10 owned by Osmose Wood Preserving of America Inc in Buffalo New York. The driver, Ronard E Cooper, filed the complaint Wednesday. Investigators also probe vandalism at a Samsville home on Norway Circle occurring Tuesday night, with 100 damage. a suspect has been developed.
