Two masked men abducted Waldo Rogers Jr., a two year old, from his mother's Las Vegas home at gunpoint. They demanded $12,000 and threatened murder if the note and lamp signal were ignored. The child was later returned after payment. authorities warned of possible pursuit.
Four bandits abducted a baby grandson of Judge Henry J. Waldo in Las Vegas. The child was found unharmed fifteen miles from the drop point after the ransom cash, totaling around six thousand dollars, was counted under car lights. A posse pursues the four kidnappers toward the Bad Lands near the Oklahoma line with bloodhounds aiding the search and a large reward pool growing.
