William H Strong, a 70 year old farmer, is sentenced by Justice Thomas W Trenchard to 30 years in state prison for second degree murder. Jury reached verdict after brief deliberation amid dramatic courthouse scene. Conviction rested on circumstantial evidence and testimony from Madame Pauline Gerard, an Atlantic City clairvoyant, with a neck-wound sample in evidence. Strong expects a new trial through appeal.
