Pacific College Opens 1914 15 Term With Strong Improvements
Pacific College begins its 1914-15 year on Monday September 21 with registration and classification. Classes start Tuesday at 1 o clock for lesson assignments and prep, regular work begins Wednesday at 8 30. Opening chapel is Wednesday morning with address by Pennington. Special music by the school of music. Dormitory room added by converting the old boys building. A large group of guests and local families attend the opening events and celebration.

Wedding Blessing At Home Of Mrs Everest Near Portland Road
The ceremony joined Miss Margaret Everest and Martin Lichtenthaler at Mrs Josie Everest’s home east of town on Portland road. Rev A T Norwood officiated under a grape vine arbor with about fifty guests. Attendants were Leonard Lichtenthaler and Maud Everest. Eva Hadley sang I Love You with Alice Christensen on piano as the couple received congratulations and a luncheon followed.

Tebo Cherokee baseball star dies at Grand Ronde
Tebo, a former leader of the Chemawa Indian band and a well known baseball player, died last week of consumption at his home on the Grand Ronde reservation. He had played with the Dallas band and was a member of the Dallas ball club, gaining city recognition.
