New Interurban Cars Delivered for Portland Line
Fourteen steel passenger cars arrived at Beaverton for the Portland Eugene and Eastern Railway. Cars will be motorized at Beaverton with dead man controls airbrakes lights heating pantograph and shops can manufacture about eight cars monthly. The red exterior aims at safety while mahogany interiors use agosete non conductor to reduce heat transfer and splintering.
