Friday evening the Pacific College faculty hosted the annual senior class reception at the home of President and Mrs. Pennington. The academy students greeted guests starting at six, followed by college students, board members, and parents at nine, as pink roses decorated the house and sherbet and waters were served.

HE GREW UP IN NEWBERG
Guy Heater formerly of Hillsboro now works at a major Los Angeles area club visiting Hillsboro relatives. He traveled aboard the steamer Beaver which aided the damaged Mackinaw after a fire. The Beaver faced a 60 mile gale between Los Angeles and San Francisco but the Oregon coast passage was pleasant.
