Ballston shooting ends in murder and wounding
In Ballston Oregon Lou W. Davis shot and killed his mother in law Eliza J. Stewart and mortally wounded neighbor Ben Agee after seeking his wife at the Stewart home. Agee aided Stewart and Davis was tied after a struggle. Agee died in Portland hospital. Davis to be charged with murder.

Sarah Trenholms Death In Oregon Home
Sarah Trenholm died at her home near Amity on June 30 1913 of heart failure at age 72. She moved to Newberg ten years earlier after her husband died, then to Amity with her daughter for health. Survived by daughters Margaret Farnsworth and Hattie Withee both of Amity. Funeral services were held at Amity Wednesday morning and she was laid to rest beside her husband.
