Lowery L Dye born 1845 in Boone County Indiana moved with family to Story County Iowa grew to manhood married Frances A McBarnes in 1864 eight children born. After farming in South Dakota he settled in Newberg in 1906 and died August 6 at age 75 with six children at his bedside.
