The piece notes pioneers faced ostracism, while later graduates encounter less stigma though prejudice remains, especially for working women and business careers.

Trade School Resurrection Sparks City Club Women

The move prompts a canvass for Mrs Doré Lyon to lead the city federation, signaling alignment with the trade school cause. With Mrs William Cuming Story newly serving as NY DAR regent, her willingness to remain city federation president appears unlikely.

The Woman’s League steps in though cautions against imitation while the school’s building was undermined by nearby excavation. Mrs Linda Hull Larned opposed a $25,000 rebuild, later withdrew, leaving the institution with no suitable home and reduced attendance.
