Army Polo Victory Despite Rain at Ciovernora Island Party

Army Officers' polo team defeated Squadron A Polo Club 11 to 7 amid a garden party by the Army Relief Society on Ciovernora Island. Ten year old boy hangs himself in apartment

Louis Kahnweiler aged ten died after locking himself in his nursery and using a rope to suspend from a closet door. Coroner Riordan ruled the death accidental amid questions whether it was a play hangman or self destruction. The Longacre Theatre hosted a party for Mr and Mrs Chauncey Depew after a performance of A Full Hourne with W G Fields added to the cast. An auction sale of seats and boxes is set for Judson Theatre this afternoon. Candida remains the top Shaw comedy in Daly’s Park engagement, with his last Shaw appearance Saturday. A Globe supper and dance will follow the 500th performance of Chin Chinn next Tuesday. Mont ery and Stone rehearse a medley from their early team act for inclusion in the show. The Dramatic Club of the Young Women’s Association, led by Miss Laurea Schreder, plans a Saturday night kickoff at the auditorium and gym to aid Madison Square revival funding. The Madison Square project to become the world’s largest motion theatre is near completion with a night opening planned and seating for nearly all.

George M Seiders Dies Former Maine Attorney General

George M Seiders, 71, former Maine Attorney General and law partner of the late Thomas B Reed, died today in Portland. A Civil War veteran and Bowdoin College graduate, he served in the Maine House in 1878 and the Senate in 1884 1890 and 1892, presiding in his last two terms. He was Assistant US counsel at the Alabama Court of Claims in 1883 and later 1900s a Republican state official and attorney general 1901 1905. He belonged to the Maine Historical Society and Maine Genealogical Society and Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
