Woman Maniac Tries to Kill Mayor in Washington New Jersey
Dr. Charles C. Smith mayor and prominent Warren County physician was attacked in his office by Alice Castner a 35 year old widow. She sprayed carbolic acid disfiguring him and possibly destroying sight in one eye. Miss Alberta Schultz and Mrs. Smith helped subdue Castner until help arrived.
