Kurzweil Fined for Striking Grobner at Brick Yard
Joseph Kurzweil was fined 25 dollars and 9 dollars costs in Justice George Hagen's court for striking Anton Groebner Sr. with pliers near the right eye at the brick yard. The act followed days of ill feeling between the workers and Groebner testified Kurzweil sprang from a bush and struck him.

Hofmeister to Lead Springfield Orchestra After New Ulm Departure
Captain Hofmeister, longtime leader of New Ulm’s Hofmeister band, will leave for Springfield to head the Orpheus band. Glassman Wins Sunstroke Compensation Suit
