Heating firm to extend plant. bids opened July 16
City council and New Ulm Heating company directors approve plans to extend the Minnesota street plant. Bids for construction are to be opened July 16, with heat to reach added area by November 1. Buildings to be heated lie south of Center street and between North Segond and North Third streets.

Flag Poles Raised at City Public Schools
Handsome steel flag poles were erected at three city public school buildings this past week. A sixty foot staff went up at the High School on Wednesday on the south side. Forty foot poles were added at Lincoln and East Side schools on Thursday. When August opens, Old Glory will fly from all city schools.

Burglary Plea Leads to Year in State Prison

More than five hundred people attended the Society of Equity picnic in Anton Henle's grove eight miles west of the city in Milford township. Stockholders of the New Ulm Grocery company re elected directors and officers at the annual meeting held in the city last Saturday. James A. Nichols of Willmar was re elected president with J. H.
