Goetsch retires sells wagon shop in city

Wenzel Lamp Injured At Cambria Lumber Camp
Wenzel Lamps sustained a serious left eye injury at the Aufderheide lumber camp near Cambria while splitting wood with a maul and steel wedge. A splinter entered the eye, tearing a gash in the lower eyelid and eye, requiring stitches at Loretto Hospital. Doctors fear partial or total loss of vision, though the eye may not be removed. The St Anthony Turnverein marked its 58th anniversary with a joint Turning in Minneapolis and a March meeting planned in St Paul. 106 participants including 37 actives 51 ladies and 18 seniors performed calisthenics dancing and songs under leaders Hermann Hein William Mueller and Otto Modler, with several ex-teachers attending.

The Fairmont Tile Plant is nearly bankrupt and may be forced into bankruptcy or sold at an execution sale. Wenona Coal Co of Illinois has a judgment and will move to liquidate the plant. Mortgages and prior liens exceed $40,000, while the original cost was $90,000 and the operation has lost money. Clay came from Blue Earth County about 10 to 16 miles away, a likely profit blocker. Mr and Mrs Frank Keate plan a Montana and Pacific Coast trip, then the Exposition after visiting friends.
