Postmaster Fred Pfaender reports 1915 total receipts at the St. Paul post office reached 94,869.65 dollars, up from 89,868.53 in 1914, with money orders leading the rise at 72,024.08 dollars. Frederickson's annual report shows 129 cases handled last year. 118 in municipal or justice courts and 11 in District Court. District Court prosecutions include grand larceny, abandonment of children, forgery, rape, indecent assault, adultery and carnal knowledge. Convictions total seven with four sent to state prison, two to reformatory, one to county jail. Three dismissals and one acquittal. Drunkenness cases predominate in municipal and justice courts.

Medical Society Elects Officers at New Ulm Session
The Brown Redwood County Medical Society met at the New Ulm Commercial club rooms electing Dr. Earl Jamieson as president and Dr. M Sundt as vice president. Dr. G F Reineke became secretary and treasurer with Dr. M C Pieper named delegate and Dr. C C Strickler as alternate to the State Medical Society convention.

Demented patient escapes hospital grounds travels to Milford
John Reinhart a long time patient at Loretto Hospital forced his way out Monday night about 11 and wandered for nearly two hours. He was found crawling in the Albert Geske farm yard in Milford township two miles from the hospital. He was returned to the hospital after the sheriff and a physician attended him. The incident prompted concern but no lasting harm is expected. Next Friday Dr J W Andrews of Mankato will discuss The Relation of the Mind to the Body at the Methodist Church Men’s Club open to the public.

Death by own action shocks Cambria township crowd
A young farm hand Eric Anderson aged about 28 died by self inflicted gunshot near Hughes bridge in Cambria township Blue Earth county. Coroner ruled accidental self harm and no inquest. Anderson, formerly of Minneapolis, faced despondency over European war talk and left with a repeating shotgun. Authorities hold body at Lake Crystal awaiting word from a Wyoming brother.
