Frank Seiter has purchased the Merchants Hotel at the corner of Minnesota and First South streets from Chas Stuebe Sr. The current tenant Andreas Amann will remain for one year under lease. Seiter will not disturb the tenant and may operate the hotel himself if the lease ends early.

Death Travels in Automobile Party at Crossing
Two automobile accidents of the week involve a former New Ulm resident and Dr. J P Vogel. Otto Kruegel of St Paul was killed in a collision with a streetcar. his companion Mrs Farrell is gravely injured while husband Patrick Farrell is also hurt. Dr Vogel escaped unharmed when his green car narrowly beat a Hughes flyer to a crossing five miles from home.
