Court Acquits Hans Mo on Both Charges in Cobden Bank Defalcations

Melges Tied in Redwood Falls Mayoral Race

Redwood Falls held a fierce municipal contest with J. H. Melges and John P. Cooper each at 237 votes for mayor. One alderman-elect favors licenses and the other opposes, giving the mayor a deciding vote on the license issue. The tie was to be settled by a lot last Friday night but was postponed.

New Ulm Roller Mill Reports Strong Year of Growth

New Ulm Roller Mill Co. reports a strong year with 426 barrel daily capacity and plans to triple output. The plant employed 23 mechanical workers and six office staff under manager August Dahl, led by head miller Henry Engel. Wheat milled reached 816,145 bushels and flour production 13,161 barrels as the firm shipped nationwide despite a difficult winter and unsettled markets.

Social Event Fortunes and Festivities At Local Restaurants

A series of social gatherings are noted at the new restaurant venues. Dr. C C Strickler hosted a six o clock dinner with colleagues at Jake Esser s establishment. The U and I Club held a supper party Saturday. Mrs A Amano marked her 40th birthday with about thirty neighbors and friends at Eucher s. Prizes went to Mrs Riegler Mrs J Dengler and Mrs J Schneider in a Eucher event. A Wesbre game yielded prizes for Mrs P Glefer Emmerich and Mrs Henle. Youths celebrated New Year s night at Sebeil s Mell in Madison with 16 dancing couples and a lively crowd.
