Man kill threat and suicide after poisoning incident

Death of Rudolph Kiesling Remains in Inland Empire
Obituary notes the 81 year old Rudolph Kiesling of Kiesling east of Spokane died after a six week illness. Born in Saxony, he moved to Minnesota, married there, then settled in Spokane in 1890 planting a 40 acre fruit tract named for him. Survived by Augusta Kiesling and eight daughters and three sons, with services at Turnbull's.

Farmer Dies After Ford Roadster Accident Near Gaylord
Ernest Mathwig, a well known farmer from three miles south of Gaylord, died after being struck by a Ford roadster driven by Herbert Johnson of Klossner. The coroner's inquest found the driver not at fault, stating Mathwig stumbled into the car as he fell. Johnson halted the vehicle and rendered aid until a physician arrived.

Fire damages old city plant as wind hampers efforts
A northwest wind fanned a blaze at the old municipal electric light and water plant on First North street last night. Firefighters fought the flames for nearly three hours, protecting two steam engines and other machinery. Insurance had expired but a renewal covered up to 20 000. Southside remained dark until power was restored after firefighting.
