Auto Truck Hits Store Front With Little Damage

Otto Seiter driving Emil Buenger's delivery car struck the Dongus store on a South First Minnesota street turn last Friday afternoon. The crash, blamed on a slippery pavement, rattled bystanders and slightly damaged the car and brick storefront. State engineer officials plan a forthcoming report and improvements on the thoroughfare.

Boy Scouts Hike Arrives With Rev Wheeler On Tour

A group of twelve Boy Scouts plus Rev. E. F. Wheeler of New Ulm arrived Wednesday afternoon for their annual hike. They camped at the old ball grounds overnight and head toward St Peter and Madison Lake for several days. The voyage covers about 150 miles before returning home later in the week.

Pleads Guilty In Serious Charge At Stillwater

W B Gibson pleads guilty to carnal knowledge of a young girl and is sentenced to one year in the state prison at Stillwater. T W Sharp and other accomplices linked to an Iowa bail insurance firm face grand jury action. Sharp freed on bond, trial set for December. Frank Wane, tied to a Sleepy Eye incident, gets 20 days in county jail for malicious destruction of property. Joseph Wooley pleads to third degree assault and receives 60 days in county jail.

Clergy and theological students are exempt, with plans to publish names of accepted and exempted men by Saturday night.
