Police Officers Have Busy Week With Drunken Arrests
Last week the local police force was unusually active with several intoxication arrests. The major incident involved a raid on Charles Lindmeyer’s restaurant on North Broadway Sunday night, where the proprietor was charged with running a disorderly house. Moonshine was seized as evidence and Lindmeyer pleaded not guilty at arraignment. Others, Anding Anderson and Horbert Mathews, pleaded guilty to drunkenness, each fined $10 plus costs. A car crash near the intersection of south and Minnesota streets led to a lamp post repair bill. Mrs. Carl W. Engelbert celebrated a birthday at home with relatives Sunday evening.
