Dr Albert Ernest Jenks professor of anthropology at the University of Minnesota and former chief of the Ethnological Survey for the Philippine Islands presents an illustrated talk on The People of the Philippines at Turner Hall Auditorium tonight at 8. The free lecture will feature slides colored from photographs taken in Mindanao and depict tribes including the Hontoc-Tgorot and Moros. William Wieland sought release from jail after a bastardy conviction and eight dollar monthly support order. Judge Olsen found him in contempt for nonpayment and remanded him to Sheriff Julius. City finances show asset gain but fund overdraws in annual report

Former New Aleite Man Dies After Accident
Jobo Schade born July 14, 1870 in New Dim died in Springfield on April Sth after a load he hauled toppled while backing down an incline at the English M. E. Church. He was crushed between the sill and wagon and died of internal injuries shortly after. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. J Geo Appel officiating.
