Escaped Maniac Caught After Chicago Flight
Bjorn Ostby the Duluth parricide who escaped from St Peter on July 22 1912 was captured in Chicago March 24 and returned to the asylum. He had wandered to near Mankato worked for a farmer then drifted to Chicago. His recapture followed his pursuit of a boy wearing a diamond ring ending in a drug store arrest.

Fire destroys Spaulding elevator at Lamberton
A Friday morning blaze destroyed the Spaulding elevator at Lamberton with its coal coke grain and hard maple wood yard contents. The fire threatened nearby lumber yard and K C Steinhauser barn but relieved by soaking rain. Origin undisclosed and insurance unclear. The elevator formerly belonged to the New Ulm Roller Mill Co. Also noted is a Washington Building exhibit by the 3rd and 4th grades under Miss Johnson.

Plans For New Building On Education Bonds Considered
