New Ulm Picnic to Feature National Guard Drill and Bands

The event draws top regional bands and aims to secure four Second Minnesota National Guard companies for Thursday military day. Invitations go to Company H Mankato Company K St Peter and Company L Redwood Falls along with Company A and Capt Burgs battery. Parade and competitive drill planned with tug of war returning as a popular feature while street shows are barred and megaphones forbidden.

Marvelous Moving Picture Show at Opera House

Beginning Friday evening the New Ulu residents can view John E. Strayer's Passion play moving pictures at the Opera House. Shows continue each afternoon and evening through Sunday with a description of Oberammergau. Children admitted free in the afternoon when accompanied by parents.
