New Oxford Art and Craft Show and Flea Market Set
The seventh annual event sponsored by the New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce will return to Center Square this Saturday drawing thousands. About 100 exhibitors will display art crafts and porticoes with prizes in revised categories and activities including quilt making and apple butter making. The day features music from Leona Klunk on the Lowrey organ, walking accordionists a New Oxford High School Band concert, and a homecoming atmosphere with flags and a sidewalk sale as Girl Scouts sell flags Friday evening. Organizers James Quickel and John Byers lead the planning with rain date June 29.

State Subsidies Announced For Three School Districts
The office of County Superintendent M. Francis Coulson says three county districts will receive state subsidies to cover ward rental payments totalling about $58,000. The New Oxford area merged district gets $19,230.10 and Upper Adams merged district receives $19,673.62. Other district amounts include Vermany Township $34,123.23 Littlestown $5,887.20 Mt. Day Township $4,824.51 Mr. Pleasant Two $3,389.09 and Union Township amounts.
