Taxi Operators Seek Expanded PUC Taxi Rights
A hearing before State PUC examiner Bermond Leibermian in York County Court House examined Charlies E. Fitzkinger’s request for added taxi service rights to Hanover and a three mile radius. Protests were filed by F B Walter, currently serving Hanover and areas in Penn, McSherrystown and Cottewago. A transcript will be submitted and a commission decision will follow.

Weidner Attends 60th Franklin and Marshall Reunion
H. W. Weidner of Gettysburg aged 80 attended his Franklin and Marshall College class reunion in Lancaster. He noted 66 graduates, 28 of whom are living, all at least 70 years old, with his 60th class reunion marked by his morning graduation and afternoon wedding anniversary.

Eckert Named Steward at Adams County Home
Harry A. Eckert of Guernsey, a farmer and former storekeeper, is chosen county home steward to replace Dorsey Schultz, who becomes sheriff. Adams County commissioners selected Eckert at last week’s court house meeting. He will take office midweek as the new sheriff is sworn in.
