Warner Hospital Seeks Space Expansion At Gettysburg Facility
The Annie M. Warner Hospital board heard staff demand larger space to handle rising demand from Gettysburg and Adams County. Plans shown by Harrisburg architect B. E. Starr would nearly double space with 12 maternity beds, 23 private rooms, cancer treatment area, and new facilities costing about 30000 dollars. A committee will study the need and report next meeting. May activity showed 103 admissions and 106 discharges with 3 deaths and 16 births.

Edison files 40 power line rights of way in seven townships
Metropolitan Edison has filed 40 rights of way for electric power lines at the register and recorder's office. Property owners in Latimore Hamilton Straban Freedom Germany Hamiltonban and Mount Joy townships have signed the papers. The Straban township route will run along the old Hunterstown road for several miles from Gettysburg.
