Official Adams county registration shows 19 145 voters with Republicans leading Democrats by 951. Total up from 18 646. gains reflect about 600 new registrations amid deaths and removals. Primary period ends before the general election. court house kept open three nights for unlisted electors.

A minor collision occurred at a Gettysburg intersection Sunday at 7 30 am involving vehicles driven by Dr James B Goyne of Gettysburg and Hans Bergh of Brooklyn New York. No injuries reported and Officer William I Banhaf investigated with no charges filed.
Mrs. Carrie Mae Clapsaddle 64, wife of Ira M. Clapsaddle, died at her Bonneauville home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from complications and shock after a fall on June 11. She suffered a concussion from the stairway incident and had been bedbound since the fall. Born in Freedom Township, she lived in Adams County most of her life, married 34 years, and was a Gettysburg Methodist member. Surviving: her husband and six children including David M. Clapsaddle and Paul J. Clapsaddle.
Executors of Josephine O. Mrs. Luther Sillik of Gettysburg and Roy A. Clapsaddle are named in the notice along with eight grandchildren. Surviving relatives include Walker Manahan of Gettysburg R.5, J. B. Harbaugh of Gettysburg R.1, and Anna Deardorff of Oklahoma City. Funeral from H. B Bender and son funeral home in Gettysburg Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev D Perry Bucke officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
Assessors from every borough and township in Adams county picked up supplies Monday at the county commissioners office for the regular triennial assessment to be completed by November 19. The 3 year valuations will stand until the next cycle unless building or fire damage or similar reasons prompt changes.
Early Sunday a car driven by Russell A. Close crossed the sharp Gesselman curve on the Gettysburg Hanover road and hit a telephone pole. his passenger John Ingles sustained facial injuries. Close faced reckless driving charges but was jailed when unable to pay fines. A prior accident on the same curve the previous day injured four people when a car struck a concrete abutment.
Mrs David Wolfe of Abbottstown was carried from her home to Hanover hospital by ambulance on Monday after an incident at her residence in Hanover.
Bernard Chrismer of Bonneauville was arrested Monday afternoon by Constable Glenn Gulse on a warrant from Mrs. Lawrence Gleim of Gettysburg for defrauding on a board bill. The information was filed before Justice of the Peace John H. Basehore.
