Cops raid meth lab in Continental Divide arrest three

DEA and Region XI Narcotics Enforcement Task Force seized large quantities of chemicals glassware and protective gear at 107 Rockcrest Rd Continental Divide. Diana Dedee Brakhahn Ameera Itani and William Billy Burns were arrested booked on trafficking by manufacture charges with Brakhahn and Itani cited for harboring or aiding a felon Burns held on federal and state warrants.

Navajo Supreme Court tackles special prosecutor delay

Diné Bureau reports Navajo judicial officials pursue swift resolution in the Navajo Supreme Court to allow special prosecutor Fred Chris Smith to return to work. Navajo Nation seeks owners of 90 abandoned cars at Davis Chevrolet

In Tuba City Arizona the Navajo Nation Regional Business Development Office aims to identify owners of 90 vehicles left behind after the Davis Chevrolet dealership bankruptcy. Navajo Nation cleans up site offers vehicle reclaim info

Tuba City staff from the Navajo Nation Regional Business Development Office report four underground storage tanks were removed from a property. They will post notices through July for owners to reclaim their as is vehicles, bring registration and a license, and arrange tow if needed. The office plans Phase 1 cleanup and inventory while pursuing a potential lessee and addressing local economic development needs.

Old Time Fiddlers Jam Contest at Rio West Mall

Rio West Mall hosts the first Old Time Fiddlers Jam and Contest with a tri state three judge panel awarding 4400 in prizes across six age and skill divisions. Contestants perform in rounds with six minute limits and three accompanists, with restrictions on standard tunes to encourage variety. Organizers expect over 100 performers and 400 families from New Mexico Colorado and Arizona, ahead of the Lions Club Rodeo and Bar B Q at Red Rock State Park June 14 17.
