More than 4 000 of Cibola County's 12 000 registered voters turned out for local and state offices on Tuesday night. Eileen Martinez won the county clerk race with 968 votes, defeating Regina Sandoval at 823. US Representative District 2 candidate Michael Montoya defeated Michael Runnels with 54 percent. Local races featured several Democratic candidates and a contested clerk's race.
