New Castle board approves six new district jobs
The New Castle Area School Board created six new positions including two kindergarten teachers at Croton Kindergarten Center and Harry W. Lockley Center, two second grade instructors at Thaddeus Stevens and West Side centers, an itinerant special education teacher, and a nurse. The vote totaled six to three for the two kindergarten posts and the West Side second grade post, with the nurse position passing five to four. Four new teachers were also hired: George Forster as mathematics at Ben Franklin Junior High, Joseph Trocci as high school Spanish, plus other hires amid mixed votes and salary concerns.
