Two charged in child endangerment case in New Castle
Police say a New Castle man Nicholas Brunelle 23 and Shakira Henley 26 faced child endangerment charges after a May 3 traffic stop revealed a 2 12 year old child in the back seat not in a proper seat belt or child seat, with marijuana present. Brunelle allegedly drove 95 mph on I 376 and tested positive for marijuana.

West Side man charged after gun and drug find
Delaughn Marcell Searcy, 21, of 407 Bell Ave., was arrested after police found an AR-15 rifle, a loaded pistol, and crack cocaine in a gray Chevrolet Suburban during a 3:18 p.m. traffic stop on Wilmington Avenue. The driver reported Searcy had crack cocaine in a sock and had pointed the rifle at someone, but it did not fire. Searcy faces two counts illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. arraigned and held on 50,000 bond. No charges yet for the driver or another passenger.
