United Press dispatch from New York reports union leaders threatening expulsion of all workers who do not quit their posts by noon tomorrow. The strike hews to a dramatic ultimatum aimed at telegraphers for Western Union Postal and Associated Press. Officials claim many at work only for extra pay and insist the union has no control. In Chicago Canadian operators fear a spread as 2000 cablegrams stall in Galveston awaiting Europe bound delivery.
Dray bra of Ray street Alyde Minnick is in a serious condition at his home after a prolonged illness. Doctors have been concerned for some time as meningitis is suspected and care remains intensive.
Henry Ross, superintendent, says the New Castle plant of the American Tin Can Co will be the largest in the country. Construction speeds up with engines due late September. The facility aims to take big contracts, employ 1,000 plus workers, and become a center of the tin can industry.
A mass meeting of business men and chamber of commerce members will convene at city hall this evening at 8 for the Franklin electric railway project. Dr. B S Cutler of Grove City, promoter of the line to Franklin, will present the proposal in detail and express optimism about its profitability. Mr and Mrs George Cartwright of 16 Spring street mourn their infant twins Matilda and Hilda Cartwright Matilda died at 2 months old following Hildas August death The two babes born June 19 lived brief lives and were buried beside each other in Graceland cemetery after funeral services at 3 30 pm at the mothers relative Joseph Knight home in Neshannock township
The Ray street grading and the Chestnut street sewer completion bring major improvements to Third Ward. Ray street has long suffered mud after rain and Chestnut street lagged behind in grading sidewalks and sewering. Now Chestnut is fully improved and among the prettiest streets in the ward.
Miss Agnes Keane of the Third ward leaves this morning for Conneaut Lake for a vacation. She is the chief operator for the Bell Telephone company in this city.
William Kennedy a about 40 resident of Kennedys Mills was found dead Tuesday morning on the Stoughton farm. Coroner Cox summoned Dr Cleland to hold an inquest after noting no signs of violence and probable death from heart trouble or apoplexy. Kennedy had lived with the Stoughton family and worked on road repairs in the area. The body lay in the meadow and had swollen from sun exposure. inquest scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at Harlansburg with M W Cunningham undertaker.
While playing at home on Monday Myrle Wymer of Mable Street fell and fractured his right arm. Dr T J Blackwood reduced the fracture.
Obituaries list deaths including Peter Gillen 67 of Youngstown and Margaret Kennedy 83 of Lowellville. Also noted are infant William George Withers 1 of Moravia Street and Matilda Cartwright 2 months old of Spring Street. Agnes Demicson Weaver 38 of Pittsburg and William Kennedy 40 of Kennedys Mills are recorded.
In Waterbury Connecticut on August 27 F M Southwick of Trenton attempted an obscene kiss while driving down a mountain road at 20 miles per hour. His car struck Hoffmans party causing a rear wheel to fly off and the car to overturn into a swamp leaving Southwick pinned and his leg to be amputated.

J. J. Bradley, about 60, was killed on a farm near Mars when a felled tree fell the wrong way and crushed him.
