At St John’s Lutheran church a candle light installation honored Luther League officers with Helen Abel as Herald. Rev R L Kerstetter led the service while Annie Miller and Louise Harding sang Follow the Gleam. Local residents attended including Mr and Mrs Alfred Fatzinger and family visiting Millersburg.

Annual Thank Offering Service of Girls Guild

The Girls Guild held its annual thank offering service at Christ Reformed Church replacing the evening sermon. Two pageants titled Counting your many blessings and Building a new world featured many participants. New members Betty Lerch Evelyn Graver Margaret Moser Dorothy Smith Eleanor Saras were welcomed and 21 girls wore church colors in closing exercises. Baptism of Luther Loren Jr. conducted by Rev. Wm. U. Helffrich at grandparents’ home in Cresco, Monroe County, followed.
