Priday Boys Venture Into Blue Mountains Rattlesnake Hunt

John Simons Graver and Ellis Valkenburg hunted rattlesnakes north of Point Phillips along the Blue Mountains using forked sticks. They earned a ten mile hunt reward of a 3 and one half foot rattler. Afterward they hosted a rattlesnake supper for friends Norman Mats Dick Hills attended. Evelyn Graver reported on her delegation to Ursinus College Summer Missionary Conference. Betty Lerch to report to Girls Guild at its next meeting.

Bath mother of ten children dies at St Luke's

Jennie Frey wife of John F Frey Race street Bath died suddenly of a bowel obstruction in St Luke's Hospital Bethlehem Friday afternoon at 12 15 pm aged 38 years 3 months and 29 days She was admitted last Thursday a week ago She was born in Pittsburgh April 4 1896 daughter of the late Joseph Fry and his wife Jennie Kildare She was mother of ten children Survived by husband and children Harry Richard John Pearl Dorothy Betty Flossie Jean Charmaine and Mary Also four brothers Harry William and George Fry of Pittsburgh and Joseph of Luton Pa Private funeral services were held Monday afternoon from her home followed by services in Christ Reformed Church Burial in Greenmount Cemetery Bath
